HOUSE OF GROOVES RADIO TO FEATURE THEMED SHOWS

House Of Grooves Radio starts airing special Wednesday broadcasts covering funk and soul music genres of the '70s and '80s. Each Wednesday a two hour show will will play every four hours throughout the day, with House Of Grooves own funk impresario, Uncle Buster, treating listeners to lessons in funk history, trivia and personal experience.

Starting Wednesday October 17 with "The DC Go-Go Beat Show" -- the Washington DC Go-Go Beat movement from the early eighties. Covering what was arguably the greatest urban club movement ever. Featuring music by Chuck Brown, Trouble Funk, EU, Rare Essence, Little Benny and The Northeast Groovers. This show includes a "Chuck Brown & The Soul Searchers Live At The 9:30 Club" show. Broadcasts start at Noon EST, 9 a.m. PST, 4 p.m. GMT and repeating every four hours throughout the day to accommodate House Of Grooves' fervent international audience. The following Wednesday, October 24, the theme will be "The S.O.L.A.R. Show" -- as Uncle Buster features the music of Dick Griffey's Solar record label, which almost single-handedly brought urban music back to earth from the disco years. The Whispers, Shalamar, Dynasty, Lakeside, Midnight Star, all responsible for enormous R&B hits in the first half of the '80s.

Future shows planned include the "Cincinnati / Dayton Show", with Bootsy Collins, The Ohio Players and more, "The Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Show" featuring music written and produced by the prolific hit making duo and recorded by Janet Jackson, SOS Band, Cherrelle, Klymaxx, Sounds Of Blackness and more. The station also has plans for a "Funk Classics Performed Live" show, with live versions of funk favorites, and "Funk: The New Movement" showcasing the new breed of funk artists, Jacuzzi 500, Gnappy, Papa Grows Funk, ulu and more.

House Of Grooves Radio special shows can be heard tarting Wednesdays at Noon Eastern, 9 a.m. Pacific, and 5 p.m. Greenwich time. The station broadcasts burning funk and jazz music 24 hours a day, and is in the Live365 Top Ten Ranked funk stations.
